Pembina Valley Youth Chorus

Starting Fall 2026

Erin Klassen, director

Erin Klassen, BFA (music), studied piano under Judy Kehler Siebert and Carole Pollard, and voice under James Fast.  A former Music Director at Mennonite Collegiate Institute, director of Home School Harmony Choir, and a Vocal director for over 20 youth and community musicals in the Pembina Valley area (and counting!), she has extensive vocal ensemble teaching and directing experience.  Erin has maintained a private studio of piano and voice students on and off over the last 25 years.

Erin is also a ballet teacher at DanceWorks in Morden, and is passionate about Arts Education in all forms.  Erin believes that every Human is also an Artist. She lives with her husband, children, and various pets in Tinker Creek.

For students who don’t have access to a school choir, or for keen choristers looking for additional choral experiences. Because of our short season, strong music reading skills are an asset (but not a requirement).  We will explore a variety of choral styles while developing ensemble singing skills - and having fun together!  Each season will culminate in a concert with other DKSM ensembles.
